Sri Vyragyanidhi Theertha stayed in the Mutt for 12 years worshipping Lord Gopinatha and Brindavan of Sri Sripadaraja. He was also a great scholar. He educated many of his disciples and made them scholars.

In 1851 he appointed his brother-in-law Sri Venkataramanacharya as his heir and renamed him as Sri Sugnananidhi Theertha and entered the Brindavan on Ashada shudha saptami of Paribhavi samvatsara.
